Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) vs Edge School (4) U15
The majority of the action took place in the first as Beckhem Falloon opened the scoring for the home side 5:53 into the game. Landon Dalziel tied the game midway through the first with his third of the year, but Edge quickly responded with goals from Colton Roussel and Smith Gillings (1G, 1A) to take a 3-1 lead into the intermission. That lead grew in the second as Hudson Cullen scored his first of the year with 5:20 left in the period. Brixtin Cenaiko would get one back for CIHA as he beat Zach Robins (38/40) midway through the third, but that was as close as the visitors would get as Edge held on for the 4-2 win. Oliver Tisnic (41/45) faced 45 shots in the loss.
North Shore Warriors (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy (4) U17
An early pair of goals set only 21-seconds apart in the set the tone for Delta and they would carry that momentum through the entire sixty. Luc McTeer’s opening goal would stand as the game winner while Lukas Kravcak (2G) added a pair of insurance markers. Liam Auras (1G, 1A) would pick up the other Delta goal while Chase Newman recorded 32 saves in a shutout. North Shore’s Cole Lawrence (52/56) put in a valiant effort in the loss, making over 50 saves for the Warriors.
BWC Academy (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) U17
Lucas Ross (3G) would bring PCHA back into contention after surrendering the first goal to BWC Academy. Later in the second, Ross would slingshot the Sea Devils into the lead with his second. However, after some penalty trouble, BWC Academy would strike back to tie things on the powerplay as Max Goodman net his fourth of the season. Fast forward to the third and Blake Bidney would put PCHA back in front. Will Avery would add some extra insurance later for the Sea Devils while Ross buried an EN goal for his first career CSSHL hat-trick. The Nanaimo, BC native now has 7 points in 6 games played.
BWC Academy (8) vs North Shore Warriors (3) U17 Prep
After Eric Prexler (2G, 1A) opened the scoring with a shorthanded tally, BWC Academy would take off with another three unanswered goals to close the first period. Early in the second, the Warriors would strike twice in a mere 5-seconds. Cole Mitchell’s powerplay goal would find its way through traffic while Quinn Herman (1G, 1A) sprung himself on a partial break right after the faceoff, making no mistake on the finish. Ryder Bui (2G) and Zeno Seipert would exchange goals shortly after. Before the end of the frame, Swift Current Broncos prospect William Simpson (1G, 1A) would restore BWC Academy’s three goal cushion. BWC Academy would add another pair in the third en route to an 8-3 victory. Prexler, Wyatt Lowther (3A) and Nathan Da Silva (3A) would lead the scoresheet with three points apiece.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (8) U15 Prep
It was pouring offense for the home team on Wednesday as Yale peppered 57 shots on goal in a convincing 8-2 victory over PCHA. Only four Yale skaters missed out on the scoresheet as the offense was widespread throughout the Lions lineup. Matthew Tang’s powerplay goal would eventually stand as the game winner. Yale’s powerplay would go 3/5 with Koen Nicholas (1G, 2A) and Mason Levandowsky (1G, 2A) leading the scoresheet with three points each.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5/SO) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) U17
OHA Penticton would come flying out of the gates to open their midweek contest with rival RHA Kelowna, scoring thrice in just over five minutes of action. Declan Smith would get one back for RINK late in the first, but that three-goal deficit was restored by second period’s lone goal from Kael Schell (2G). However, RINK would spark a three-piece of their own in the third, scoring a pair of powerplay goals and a late shorthanded goal to force overtime. Coldstream, BC native Oliver Peck would score said SHG with only 1:14 remaining on the clock. As overtime solved nothing, a shootout was in order, going the distance to five rounds before RINK’s Cole Morley delivered the dagger, completing the comeback.
Kuper Academy (BioSteel) (0) vs Ulysse Academie (CCM) (4) East
It didn’t take long for Ulysse to spark the scoring in the first game of our Eastern Showcase in Cornwall, ON as Danny Saldnjoukou (1G, 1A) wired home a loose puck in the slot for the early lead. Charles-Etienne Brault would follow up with a second for Ulysse halfway through the first. The scoring would take a break in the second but Ulysse would add another two in the third thanks to Sidney Chartrand and Jayden Kolnik (1G, 1A). Alessandro Do Monte (34/34) would pick up the shutout in goal, making 34 stops in Ulysse’s first win of the season.
Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks (2) vs King’s-Edgehill School (5) East CCM
A quiet opening frame picked up in the final 60-seconds as Vincent Di Cesare opened the scoring for the Mavericks. In the second, KES would pick up some steam after Jagger Hann (1G, 2A) sniped one far side on the powerplay, sparking a thread of three unanswered goals for the Highlanders. Arnaud Doyon would get one back for OHA late in the second, hoping to generate some momentum for the third. However, the Mavericks would run into penalty trouble in the early stages of the final frame, leading to two powerplay markers from Liam Boone (2G) and Eric Gaudette (2G, 1A). Mikko Robichaud (34/36) stood on his head for 34-saves to get back in the win column.
CHE Academy (CCM) (4) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (BioSteel) (5) East
William Little and Luke Vokey scored less than five minutes apart as OHA grabbed an early 2-0 lead on home soil in their first game of the 2026/27 season. CHE Academy would get within one late in the first with a power play goal from Samuel Olson (2G, 1A), the first CSSHL goal in the history of the program. Olson would tie the game 59 seconds into the second with another power play goal as the Beaumont, AB defender needed just one game to match his 2025/26 season point total. Olson would pass that total less than two minutes later as he set-up Ethan Rowland to give CHE Academy their first lead of the game. Maksym Shtepa would even the score midway through the second as the two teams were deadlocked at 3-3 after 40. Edilkhan Kabdrashev (1G, 2A) restored the OHA lead 4:44 into the third with his first goal of the season. CHE Academy would once again tie the game, this time on a Brody Roche goal with 4:45 remaining, sending the game to overtime and securing their first ever CSSHL point. After OT solved nothing, Richard Sedlak beat Owen Griffith (50/54) in the second round of the shootout and Dawson Brewer (57/61) stopped all three CHE Academy shooters to give OHA the 5-4 win.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (3) vs OHA Edmonton (1) Women’s U18 Prep
In an early season matchup between two teams with high Championship hopes it was Delta Green (4-0-0) finding the back of the net first as Emma Biros scored her second goal of the season. Defenseman Svana Sveinbjornson would get OHA Edmonton (0-1-0) on the board midway through the second, but Gabriella Lee (2G) would score the eventual game winner 2:01 later. Lee would add an insurance marker late in the third, and Mya Young (28/29) made 28 saves as Delta Green remained unbeaten with the 3-1 win. Emma Skolney (23/26) faced 26 shots in the loss.
Bourget College (BioSteel) (8) vs Mount Academy (CCM) (1) East
Zack Gaboury (3G) opened the scoring 9:41 in, but Domenic Boni had a quick response for Mount as he scored his first of the season 1:10 later. Cedrick Fleurent restored the Bourget lead just 52 seconds later as it was all the away side the rest of the way, with Bourget scoring 7 unanswered.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna Red (6) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) Women’s U18 Prep
Lauren Nychyporuk (2G) opened the scoring for Pilot Mound as she scored a shorthanded goal midway through the first. Harper Redden tied the game six minutes later as she beat Kianna Kehler (29/35) for her second of the season. Claire Johnson (1G, 1A) gave RHA Kelowna Red their first lead 4:42 into the second period before Nychyporuk scored a power play marker midway through the period to even the score. Jane Mann would respond for RHA Kelowna Red six minutes later to give her team a 3-2 lead heading into the third. Pilot Mound would once again tie the game, this time on a Hilla Parviainen goal 13:24 into the third. However, Lea Wallgren scored the game winner less than two minutes later and Addison Melbourn and Charlie Knight (1G, 1A) scored less than a minute apart to give RHA Kelowna Red the 6-3 win. Addison Guertin (39/42) made 39 saves in the win.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (1) vs Balmoral Hall School (3) Women’s U18 Prep
Balmoral would hold the edge in shots through one (12-9) but Delta Black would take the lead through twenty after a late shorthanded tally from Khaleesi Martz. In the second, Balmoral would flip the switch and begin to convert on their chances. Lydia Hill would break the ice for the Blazers, leading to Brannagh Rae’s 2-1 goal just over a minute later. Soon after that Rachel Lyver (1G, 1A) would add a third to Balmoral’s tally. That 3-1 score would hold for the remainder of the contest. Isabelle Labossiere (18/19) would make 18-saves for her first career CSSHL win while Melina Bezic made an impressive 35 stops in the loss.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) Women’s U18 Prep
The Battle of RINK never fails to disappoint at showcases and this was just another example. Winnipeg would get the jump early over Kelowna after Attica Sobering’s point shot was tipped in by Chloe Anderton. Later in the second, Yente Koolwjik would cram home a loose puck in front for her first of the season, doubling Winnipeg’s lead in the process. Ava McDermid would finally strike for Kelowna halfway through the third with an imposing wrister. Kelowna would build on that momentum as seconds ticked down in the third, but they could not find another answer for Mars McHenry (44/45). The Los Angeles, CA native was astounding in her season debut with Winnipeg, accumulating 44 saves against the five time reigning champions.
Edge School (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) U17
Edge School dominated play through the opening twenty, outshooting RHA Winnipeg 18-7. The icebreaker wouldn’t come until halfway through the second where RINK would get the step on Edge as Owen Anderson net his fifth of the campaign. It seemed as if RHA Winnipeg would take their 1-0 lead into the third but Edge would finally catch a break with 20-seconds left in the frame thanks to Dryden Hanson. Early in the third, Hanson would strike again for Edge, finally handing them the lead. Edge would hang on to this advantage to the buzzer, avoiding an upset on the scoresheet.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs Notre Dame Hounds (3) U17
Oliver Bonilla would open the scoring for Notre Dame with a powerplay marker but NAX’s Cohen Aquino would strike back soon after with a SHG. Zuan Jenkinson would add another for NAX before the ice clean. Colby Crone would resume NAX’s momentum adding a third early in the second. Notre Dame would show some push back through the second, ultimately tying things up 3-3 after Leonard Kriska and Brayden McBride scored a pair. Entering the third, NAX would regain that lost momentum, eventually scoring on the powerplay thanks to Ethan Oldford. NAX would obtain a few more powerplays after this suppressing Notre Dame’s chances at a comeback. NAX would hang on and win this one 4-3.
